I've been watching this "Four Things" meme playing out across the various blogs I read for awhile now, so it was inevitable it would come to me. Since Tank (of Library Muscle Guy) tagged me with it here I might as well publish it here, although I can't for the life of me figure out why I bust my ass and put my heart and soul into the Pop Culture Institute for almost no payback, and this little piece of throwaway trash gets all the attention - I guess it's just the way of the world. ~ MSM

Thanks for being a good sport about this and jumpin' on the bandwagon, MSM - as reluctant as you may have been.
And just so you know, Pop Culture Institute is a regular component of my daily blog perusal. Your efforts are much appreciated.
I for one don't generally make comments over there simply becuz of the nature of pop culture. It is what it is. How can I add to your work without repeating what's already been said by the world-at-large a million times over?
But I want you to know I read your stuff and I enjoy it. It seems hokey to pat you on the back every day. But I henceforth I will try to mend my ways.
Obviously, I need a little more work when it comes to writing stuff that elicits comments. Maybe I need to be less of a know-it-all.
PCI won't be what I want it to be for another year at least, which is why I stick with it - I know what it will be like and I'm willing to wait to see it become that. Slow and steady wins the race!
I see you every day in my stats, though, and I appreciate it. I am up to about 15 regular readers now, some of whom use Google reader.
As for reluctance to do the meme I had none; it took me a couple of days to get to it only because of the load of work to be done today (which I won't finish now until tomorrow) and a surprise I've been cooking up to run over the next three days.
Plus I've pinched a nerve in my knee and it's hard to write when blind with pain and/or gooned on Advil. I have to catch the wave and write what I can between these two extremes. I know that weed will take the pain away forever in a day or two, but I've been so productive lately (all you see on the two blogs plus four pages of novel besides) that I'm reluctant to jeopardize it by smoking.
